What is WSMS, it is a simple and friendly to use 1-on-1 live chatting
system. It all started when we wanted to add a live chat support
service to a web site we have maintained. After looking around we
found several systems that may do the work but they were all
very expensive. Think about it, "its only a chat system".
Well, we started developing our own system. Soon it became more and
more complicated. It is one thing to have a simple One-on-One chat
system but a rather a more complicated system if you want to give a
bunch of users (Client side) access to a list of supporters (Support
side). Our aim was and still is to see that the client gets the best
service. The system is designed to be as simple to use but with good
features. The visiting client does not need to install any software
and uses his standard browser. On the support side, there is a
Windows application.
Who needs a system like WSMS ?:
Every web site that has an online virtual
shop, a business web site that has customers needing immediate
support/attention, an ISP that needs to support his user, a library,
book shops... The uses for such a system are endless.
What does it help you ?:
With a simple installation give your customers
a fast and cheep direct contact to you. No telephone bills, no waste
of fax paper, answer your client immediately. Catch a client that
does not know exactly what he wants, help him decide by giving him
confidants and good service/advice.

How does all this work ?:
After installing the support software in any
PC running a Windows system the supporter run's the application and
connects to our main server. This actually places the supporter in a
"listening mode". When a casual visitor at your own web site asks
for support, all he need to do is simply clicks on an image or a
related link. By clicking the image/link, an applet is loaded from
our server into a new browser window. The applet establishes a
connection to our server and the user session is placed in a On
hold state. All the supporters in the same group will get
a notification that a new user is asking for support. When the first
supporter answers (catches) the user, the user gets a fill details
display. The user fill's his details and click's the
Start Session
button, the user gets a chat display with a wait... message. On the
support side a corresponding chat window is also opened.
The first supporter to answer the new waiting
client, will catch the session. All the other supporters in the same
group will be notified that this new client has been answered.

The system is fully functional. Changes and additions to the current
software are added all the time. Updates to the server and/or applet
normally are not published. We would like to make it simple and user
friendly as we can. Users are welcomed to add suggestions and/or
comments. Not all suggested additions will take affect but we will
do our best.
For the moment the system is provided free of charge !.
